Bagel head
A new expression of body art that is achieved by dripping saline solution into the forehead until a large welt forms. The practitioner then presses a finger in the lump, leaving behind a bagel-like hole on the forehead. A typical bagel-heading procedure can last up to two hours. Unlike tattoos and piercings that cause permanent modifications to the body, bagel-heading bumps usually disappear in about 24 hours as the body slowly absorbs the saline.
Bagel heading is turning into a new fad in Japan and other countries as body art enthusiasts become bored of traditional body modification practices.
