Xuepin
A Chinese term for mad shopping which was originally borrowed from the English pronunciation for "shopping". It literally means bloody fight and is used to describe mad shopping as people compete physically to get the best sales bargains. Xuepin is usually characterised with aimless or copycat buying. A person engaged in xuepin usually buys a large number of merchandise at a time and spends extended time going from store to store.
As the Chinese economy continues to grow, more and more Chinese are engaging in xuepin in shopping centres in international cities such as London, Paris, New York and others.
